1. About ParkPin
ParkPin ("the app") is an Android app that records your parking location so you can navigate back to your vehicle later. This policy explains what the app accesses, what stays on your device, and what third parties receive.
2. Information stored on your device
The following is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to us, and we operate no servers that receive it:
- Parking locations — the GPS coordinates you choose to save, and the approximate street address derived from them.
- Notes — any text you add to a saved spot.
- Photos — any photo you attach to a saved spot, kept in the app's private storage area.
- Parking history — your most recent saved spots.
- Reminders — parking timers are scheduled as local notifications on your device; no reminder data leaves it.
- Preferences — vehicle profiles, your distance-unit setting, and whether you have completed onboarding.
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, permanently deletes all of the above. You can also remove individual spots or clear your entire history from within the app at any time.
3. Location permission
ParkPin requests foreground location access so it can record where you parked and show your live distance and direction back to your car. Location is read only while the app is open and you are actively using it. ParkPin does not track your location in the background and does not collect a history of your movements. If you decline the permission, the save and find features will not function, but the rest of the app remains usable.
4. Camera and photo permissions
These are requested only when you choose to attach a photo to a parking spot. Photos remain on your device and are never uploaded.
5. Notification permission
Requested only when you set a parking reminder. Notifications are generated on your device by the app itself; ParkPin sends no push messages and operates no messaging service.
6. Third-party services
ParkPin uses the following Google services, each governed by Google's own privacy policy rather than this one:
- Google Maps Platform — renders the map and resolves coordinates to a street address.
- Google Play Services — provides location and device services required by the app.
- Google AdMob — serves the ads described below.

7. Advertising
ParkPin displays ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve those ads, Google may collect and process certain information, including your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location and general app-usage signals. This processing is carried out by Google, not by us, and is governed by how Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Where required by law (including in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), ParkPin presents a consent form before any ads are requested, and your choice is respected. If you do not consent, ads are not requested. You can revisit that choice at any time from your device's Google settings.
8. Data we do not collect
ParkPin has no accounts, no login, and no analytics or crash-reporting service. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or any personally identifying information. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
9. Sharing a parking spot
If you use the share feature, your device's own share sheet sends the location to a recipient you pick. That transfer happens through the app you choose, not through ParkPin, and we receive no copy of it.
10. Security
Because your parking data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security. Reasonable measures are taken to keep the app's storage private to the app, but no method of electronic storage is completely secure.
11. Your choices
- Deny or revoke location, camera or notification permission at any time.
- Delete individual spots or clear your whole history in the app.
- Reset your ad consent choice from your device's Google settings.
- Delete local data by clearing app storage, or uninstall the app.
12. Children's privacy
ParkPin is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated. The latest version will always be published at this address with a revised date above.
